After School Nanny – Fulham

After School Nanny required for very flexible and accommodating family in Fulham with a girl of 8 and a boy of 5. Monday to Thursday, 3-7pm during term time with some full days during school holidays but family very flexible about holiday cover. Duties to include school pick-up, preparation of tea for the children, overseeing of homework (minimal), and to have fun! Driver preferred but by no means essential (manual family car available).

Lunch Club Supervisor – Stoke Newington

This friendly playgroup are looking for a Lunch Club Supervisor to work from 11.30am-1.30pm each day and for an extra hour one day a week – a total of 11 hours a week.

Your duties will include:

  • To ensure that the lunch area is set up safely and appropriately
  • To tidy away at the end of the session and to ensure that the kitchen and other areas are clean and tidy ensuring that all toys and equipment are clean and safe at all times
  • To carry out daily risk assessments
  • To supervise children during their lunch break
  • To liaise closely with the playgroup leader on the management of the lunch club
  • To ensure that children are given appropriate opportunities for rest and relaxation during the lunch club
  • To advise the playgroup leader of any concerns e/g/ over children, child protection, parents/carers or the safety of equipment preserving confidentiality as necessary
  • To be aware of any special needs a child may have and to make adjustments as necessary
  • To attend staff meetings
  • To attend in service training courses as required
  • To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is acquired as part of the job
  • To keep up to date with current good practice
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the play leader in accordance with the playgroup business plan and objectives

You must hold a level 3 in childcare and a food & hygiene certificate.

They are successful candidate will have experience working with young children and strong and solid commitment to young children and families & an friendly, flexible approach.

This post is for 11 hours per week, term time only with 4.7 week paid holiday. The role is due to start in September.

After School Nanny

Before and after school nanny required for a little girl aged 3, Monday to Thursday 12.15-6.15pm with at least two early mornings per week from 8.15-9.15am. The family are also willing to offer full time work to nannies prepared to do other domestic duties such as household ironing and cleaning of the child’s bedroom while she is at nursery. Duties to include getting her up in the morning, preparing breakfast and taking to nursery, collection from nursery, preparing and overseeing lunch, playing with and entertaining during the afternoon and/or organising playdates, preparation of tea, bathing and getting her ready for bed. Driver not necessary but full days during school holidays required and some evening babysitting.

This is a fantastic role for an experienced Tutor/Training Manager’s.

The role will involve for you to co-ordinate the design, delivery and development of a programme of study up to Level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development for a group of 30 learners.

Some of your roles and responsibilities will include:

  • To ensure that all learners learn the essential skills and underpinning knowledge required to achieve either an Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship at NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Children’s Care, Learning & Development and Key Skills in Level 1 & 2 in Application of Number and Communication.
  • To maintain and monitor the learner process from recruitment to achievement, with a co-ordinated, smooth and continuous cycle of planning, learning, assessment and achievement.
  • To implement quality procedures which contribute to thorough, evaluative programme reviews which feed into the self assessment process.
  • To develop, uphold and promote College policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work including the Equal Opportunities policy to ensure a fair and anti discriminatory learning environment for all.
  • Be responsible for: Management process, provide comprehensive Learner Support, Curriculum Development, Classroom Management, Public Relations, Professional Growth, Learner Evaluation, responsible for the overall administration processes.

You will be required to have the following qualifications:

  • NNEB / NVQ LEVEL 3 in Early Years Care & Education – with a minimum of five years relevant experience.
  • PGCE/Cert Ed to be held or to be worked towards within 12 months of appointment
  • DTTLs Certificate
  • A1 Assessor’s Certificate
  • V1 Internal Verifier’s Certificate.
