Deputy Nursery Manager – Wanstead

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Deputy Nursery Manager to work in a bright and happy nursery in Wanstead.

The nursery is open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work 40 hours per week.

The Deputy Nursery Manager is responsible to the Nursery Manager and their main duties will include:

  • Assisting the manager in the daily running and administration of the nursery. This will include, report writing, staff rota and holiday planning, producing parent letters and maintaining staff ratios
  • Keeping and monitoring accident, incident and risk assessment records
  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained in the nursery
  • Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background
  • Supervision of staff, conducting regular staff assessments and one to ones – Also providing practical cover and assistance where necessary
  • Care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
  • Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child’s individual development in a stimulating atmosphere. Ensuring observation records are thorough and well maintained
  • Ensuring that the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the nursery playrooms, kitchen and equipment are carried out to high standard
  • Liaising with parents and dealing with any queries over observations and reports from their child’s key worker
  • Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Nursery Manager.

Daily Nanny

Lovely position for a qualified and experienced nanny near to Gloucester Road tube. Mother will be around for the first month to give a hand over to the nanny then will go back to work. Sole charge of active 9 month old girl – taking her to classes, nursery duties etc. Driver not essential. No travel with family expected but maybe in the future. Daily Nanny`

It is essential the nanny be very safety conscious, responsible, calm, organised, pro active and have excellent checkable references. NNEB, Norland or the Equialvent qualifications are required and the nanny should be able to provide age appropriate stimulation and be developmentally focussed. The family are looking for an Ofsted registered nanny with a current 1st aid certificate, clear CRB and excellent checkable references. Normal nursery duties, cooking healthy food and taking the baby to age appropriate activities etc are required. A driver is not required. The closest Train stations are St Johns Rail or Lewisham on the Dockland Light Rail. There is parking available.

Nursery Nurse – Wood Green

We are looking for a qualified Nursery Nurse to work in Wood Green, North London.

You will be a friendly, calm and approachable nursery nurse. You will have a sound understanding of child development, good listening and observations skills, and be able to work co-operatively as part of a team in order to plan and deliver quality experiences for young children. You will have the ability to make good caring relationships with children, parents and professionals.

You should have experience working in the baby room as this is where you will be based. You will be expected to have good knowledge of the new curriculum Early Years Foundation Stage.

You must be qualified to a minimum of level 3 in Childcare and have experience working in nurseries to be considered for this post.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
  • Previous relevant supervisory experience
