Friendly, welcoming Danish family are looking for a lovely, warm, friendly, educationally & developmentally focused nanny to join them and help care for their daughters aged 2.5 years and 9months. Their ideal nanny can work under their own initiative but be able to compliment the family in their approach to raising their daughters. A nanny with a genuine love of caring for children, knowledgeable, discreet, confident, safety conscious and who can hit the ground running is preferred. The family live in a beautiful woodland estate that is being changed into a nature reserve. Due to the location there are no pre-school classes or playgroups within the immediate area. The nanny who joins the family will need to be imaginative, creative and have an ability to come up with lots of different wanys to keep the children stimulated and engaged. The older child will start attending pre-school part time.
The family also have dogs and horses. If a nanny is a keen rider then there is the opportunity to ride or get paid extra for assisting with the horses although this is not a requirement. The nanny will do normal nursery duties and cook healthy food for the children. The accommodation is separate and will be shared with another member of staff. There will be use of a car available for off duty by arrangement. The family live a 20-minute drive to Billund, which is the home of Lego, Lego Land and an international airport with flights to the UK. They are also a short 2½ hour train ride from Copenhage and a 1 hour drive from Arhus, Denmark’s second largest city.

Position Details;
Start Date: ASAP – Latest December
Duration of the Position: 12 month contract initially
Days: 5 days per week (flex) usually Monday – Friday
Hours: approx 10 hours per day
Children: Girls 2.5 years & 9months
Accommodation if applicable: Lovely cottage shared with another member of staff.
Baby-sitting Required: 2-3 evening per week by arrangement
Travel: 2-3 months a year as the family 2nd home in Scotland
Driver: Helpful but not essential

Salary: £500 – £600 per week clear on experience
