You must be able to demonstrate a through understanding of the EYFS Framework and have some supervisory experience as well as at least 3 years experience after qualification. Your Key Responsibilities may include -

Act as Room Leader and to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Ensure your staff team provide high standards of care for the children.
Lead planning for the EYFS curriculum and maintain accurate records.
Ensure that your staff team are always aware of each child’s individual needs and that all children are kept safe and that the staff understand, and follow Child Protection Procedures.
Support the staff and supervise the staff with their day to day duties.
Be responsible for participating in all self-development activities including appraisals and supervisions.
Meet with the manager on a regular basis and report on individual children and staff
Meet with parents
Interview new staff with the manager

Currently we are recruiting for an experienced Nursery Nurse who is looking for a new challenge. The refurbished nursery is part of a large chain of childcare providers, and is located in a stunning Health Club in North London, just off the North Circular.

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a Childcare related subject

  • The ability to be a flexible and enthusiastic team member

Your responsibilities will be:

  • To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team in your room reflective of the EYFS
  • To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
  • To liaise with parents and surrounding team members, monitor progress, keep records and reports and communicate any suggested improvements that can be made to help the child`s development
  • To ensure the nursery’s philosophy is followed and enhanced at all times.
  • To ensure the welfare of the children in your care and act as a role model for the nursery with parents
  • Attending the staff meetings and contributing in a positive and constructive way
