We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nursery Practitioner to take a Deputy Manager’s position in a lovely, homely Nursery.

This position is based with the Babies and would suit an experienced Room Leader. This Deputy Manager’s position will allow you the opportunity to take on more Senior responsibilities such as budgeting, staff recruitment and training. You will need to have a good understanding of how to manage a staff team, the ability to multi-task and manage your own workload.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
• Overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups
• With the manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
• To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum
• To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
• To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.

You will ideally need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
• Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong people management skills
• Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.

Fab dynamic, fit and hearty nanny groom needed! To live in, in stunning rural Somerset BA11 a mile down a dirt track! Fantastic farm life, wellies, aga’s, loads of mud, quad bikes, land rovers and lots of children and animals! This is a team work position working alongside mum, with some sole charge when she is working in London usually 3 days a week. To care for three children, boys aged 8, 6 and their little sister aged 3 years old. There is also the joint care with Mum of three children’s ponies, a brood mare and riding of a lovely 16.2 6 year old horse! This family also has dogs and chickens! A general muck in, happy to get dirty attitude is essential, as for 6 months of the year there is lots of mud! The ideal candidate will have experience as a nanny and knowledge of the horses, have a strong character and be general very fit and hard working. Your duties will include school and nursery runs, helping with homework, cooking, laundry and shopping. Up to 3 nights babysitting. Caring for the animals, riding the horse, general stable duties and helping the children with their ponies. There is a stunning one bedroom separate flat over the garages for the nannies sole use, use of one of the families four by fours 24/7. There is also weekend use of the families London flat on the weekends if so desired! This position is to start ASAP £350 + per week net.
