Nursery Manager – Surrey (Train Zone 3)

Nursery Manager required for a very successful and popular setting in Surrey, Zone 3 on rail map.. The setting is registered for 65 places, does have an experienced staff team, and we need candidates who have a track record in high standards.

The Responsibilities of the Nursery Manager will include – Implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, responsible for the day to day running and administration of the Nursery. Part-time Nursery Nurses – Hyde

Candidates must be experienced childcare professionals with the following qualifications/experience:

Nursery Nurses, NVQ level 2 or 3 in childcare or equivalent, plus experience of working with children

Room leaders, NVQ level 3 in childcare or equivalent with the necessary experience to manage a room, would suit senior nursery nurses looking for next step or people with Room Leader experience.

Deputy Managers, at least NVQ level 3 in childcare or equivalent, and 2 years experience working within a nursery setting and the drive to manage.

PRU Specialist Teaching Assistant

Hays Education has the perfect teaching assistant vacancy for an enthusiastic, driven SEN specialist within behavioural support .

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a long term basis within a local Pupil Referral Unit .

This centre supports pupils aged 11-14 within Coventry who have been permanently and semi-permanently excluded from mainstream education. The centre delivers national curriculum and NVQ-based subjects.

Its most recent Ofsted report states that :

“This centre carries out an effective role in the local authority’s provision for pupils experiencing difficulties in a mainstream school… Facing the challenge of relocation and staffing difficulties the teacher in charge has successfully led and managed a unit that fully understands its brief to motivate pupils to re-engage in learning . As a result of its effectiveness almost all pupils are able to successfully return to a mainstream setting.”

Job roles + duties

  • To assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction of the head of centre or class teacher
  • To assist in the implementation of IEPs
  • To work with other professionals including external agencies
  • To support pupils with behaviour and emotional difficulties
  • To develop social skills and promote inclusion

Essential

  • At least 3 months referenceable experience working within an educational arena in the past 2 years
  • Experience of supporting learning with age group of between 11 – 14
  • SEN awareness and experience of a similar role
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Desirable

  • Experience supporting literacy and numeracy
  • Area of specialism – core, non-core subject
  • Excellent ICT skills

A registration process will need to be followed before starting the role, therefore you must be able to provide two references demonstrating the above skills. Full CRB / Police check will be carried out.
