Early Years Practitioner – Hounslow

The position is on a full-time permanent basis, with the nursery open between 9am & 6pm, Monday to Friday, for children aged 0 to 5 years old.

The Nursery is set up in one main playroom, which allows all age groups to interact together. The purpose built room has toys and activities to stimulate the children’s curiosity and a desire to learn.

The ideal candidate for the position must be:

  • Level 3 childcare qualified (ESSENTIAL)
  • Enthusiastic with Initiative and self-motivation

  • Excellent with interpersonal skills

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure all policies, procedures and legislative requirements are maintained to comply with legal regulations and group standards
  • Help support and maintain an effective key worker system in order to provide a nurturing, consistent and caring environment
  • Ensure the safety, security and protection of children at all times
  • Undertake efficient and effective administration
  • Ensure that the legal staff/child ratios are adhered to at all times.
  • Promote anti-discrimination practice in ways which are consistent with all legislative frameworks and organisational policy
  • Ensure the health, safety and welfare of the children, staff and visitors at all times
  • Provide support, advice and information to parents/carers as required
  • Attend meetings at the nursery or off site as required
  • Support systems for the recording of observations, Children’s progress and development in compliance with the data Protection Act
  • Carry out any additional responsibilities which may be required from time to time

Early Years Professional or Teacher

The successful candidate will join an established team of committed and enthusiastic practitioners with QTS EYPS and Level 3 Qualifications. We are looking for applications from practitioners with experience of working in Early Years settings who are committed to a reflective and responsive pedagogy. The successful applicant will take responsibility for the co leadership of a specific area of the open plan Nursery contributing to the development of instructive and enabling environments that promote quality, child initiated learning. The post also includes responsibility for a specific group of children aged between 2 and 5 years, taking an active and well documented interest in their well being and continued development.

Live-in Nanny

Experienced live-in Nanny required in Norfolk for shared care of 7 month old twins. Some aspects of sole charge including one night per week. Candidate must drive-estate car available which is also used by other members of staff. Travel with the family including a 3 week trip to Italy this August. Some essential requirements please before you make this call are

  • You must be over 18years of age.
  • Have a minimum of 6mths experience working with children 0-5yrs of age either as an au-pair/ nanny or babysitter/ childminder or worked in a nursery.
  • 2 letters of reference, written and signed by the parents of the children or the nursery manager.
  • Should be pro-active. energetic, good natured with cheery disposition and be able to ”get on with it” so to speak.NO time wasters/slackers please!

We also offer temporary ongoing assignments at different nurseries in and around London.

NB: You will need to bring the following with you to the interview:

  • Passport
  • 2 Passport photos
  • 2 Proof of address
  • 2 Letters of reference in childcare (see above)

CRB if you have one. If not we can get one for you.

If you are Qualified in early years childcare with a certificate NVQ 2/3/4 NNEB / CACHE / Montessori or have the equivalent diploma from your country with a Naric verification letter, please bring that too.

FT Nannyshare Wandsworth SW18 Mid Feb £550-600/Wk

FT nanny for share role. Monday to Wednesday will be sole charge of 8 month old girl, 2 year old girl and 4 year old boy in a share arrangement. Thurs/Fri is sole charge of just the 8 month old baby girl. Hours 7.45-7, driver useful but not essential. Must have very good baby experience as well as pre-school age. Start mid February. £550-600/wk.
