Qualified Secondary PE Teacher

Maternity Cover Nursery Manager

This well established nursery based in North London are looking for an experienced nursery manager for a maternity cover (approx 6-12 months; start in June).

The nursery is a 59 place renovated house which has been open nearly 3 years – within 9 months it had been declared ‘Good’ by Ofsted.

They are looking for a motivated and driven nursery manager; you must hold a level 3 in childcare and have previous experience as a manager.

Your duties will include:

  • Monthly tally of employee working hours & payroll returns
  • Monitoring & recording petty cash flow & expenditure, cash, voucher and cheque payments for childcare.
  • Ordering food and resources (within agreed budget)
  • Filing and logging children’s documents
  • Tracking staff holidays and annual leave
  • Recruiting, interviewing, inducting, keeping to staff-child ratio’s
  • Deputising to the deputy
  • Liaising with parents/ guardians and external bodies including Local council and Ofsted.

Nursery Manager

  • This is a fantastic role for an experienced nursery manager who is looking to join a professional and forward thinking organisation.

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
  • Previous relevant supervisory experience
