Foundation Stage Specialist

Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant:
Hays Early Years are currently working with a number of Primary Schools in South Birmingham area to recruit Early Years Specialists to work as Teaching Assistants in the Foundation Stage. The full time positions are to start immediately.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will be supporting the Class Teacher assisting with the organisation and preparation of classroom resources in accordance with lesson plans and assist pupils in their use. You will be expected to maintain pupil records and gather information as required. The promotion of good pupil behaviour, dealing with incidents inline with the schools policies and reporting difficulties as appropriate. Supporting the needs of pupils is essential for this role. You will be expected to provide 1:1 support for pupils as needed; promoting self-esteem, encouraging pupils to act independently and support academic and personal development. The promotion of inclusion inline with the Every Child Matters Agenda is extremely important as well as the ability to establish good relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
SKILLS NEEDED:

  • 6 months experience of working in a school environment is desirable
  • Good Numeracy and Literacy Skills
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults
  • Work constructively as part of a team
  • Working alongside children with SEN/behavioural difficulties is desirable
  • Experience of working with phonics would be advantageous
  • An Early Years Qualification to Level 3 standard

Overseas Nanny – 12 Month Contract

Permanent Live in Overseas Nanny – Pro active, hard working, discreet, outgoing and sporty Governess/ Nanny /PA type or Governor required to care for one boy as 8 years old. Separate one bedroom studio. Fully staffed household. Regular International travel. 3:00pm to 9:00pm. On weekend – 8:00am – 1:00pm. 2 days off a week, one during the week and one during the weekend. Professional bilingual family based between Russia, Kazakhstan and Spain require qualified Governess to care for and assist in teaching English to their 8 year old boy. They need someone flexible and fun with a great sense of humour and someone who uses their initiative and is able to do fun and creative things with him. You also need to be able to travel at short notice with the family to various destinations and you are able to have two days off, one during the week and one during the weekend. Your working hours are 3:00pm to 9:00pm and on the weekend day that you work you will be working from 8:00am to 1:00pm. This is a sole charge position. School runs although a driver not required.

The family are looking for someone who will stay for at least 12 months with a one month trial period.

Your accommodation is a separate one bedroom apartment in Russia and a bedroom in the house during travelling time.
