Hays Early Years are currently working with a number of Primary Schools in South Birmingham area to recruit Early Years Specialists to work as Teaching Assistants in the Foundation Stage.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the class Teacher assisting with the organisation and preparation of classroom resources in accordance with lesson plans and assist pupils in their use. All applicants must have proven experience in the six areas of learning, which form the basis of the foundation stage curriculum but also have a proven track record and the skills to:
- Provide group and one to one support in numeracy and literacy
- Can provide one to one and group support for SEN children ensuring inclusion
- Can bring art, music and play to the curriculum to aid in creative development
- Can support children in developing their communication, speaking and listening skills
SKILLS NEEDED:
- 6 months experience of working in a school environment is desirable
- An Early Years Qualification to Level 3 standard
