Nursery Manager

This is not an average nursery manager’s position. This role is for an experienced Nursery Manager looking to work for a professional company. This nursery requires a manager who can ‘think outside the box’ and be able to manage a stunning setting and contribute to the business development of this setting.

This nursery provides care and education for children aged from 03 months to 5 years. You will need to be an organised manager with the ability to guide and lead staff within a warm and supportive environment. The role requires a manager who is able to develop excellent links with the local community and all service users.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • To effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To ensure all policies, procedures and curriculums are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends
  • To effectively manage the budgets and occupancy levels
  • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.
  • To manage all day to day operations of the nursery

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
  • Previous relevant supervisory experience

Live-in Nanny/Housekeeper Required in London/Petham, Kent

Live in Nanny/housekeeper/All rounder required for a lovely family with 3 children and busy household. Firstly and ideally they need the same nanny for London and Kent. When the children break up from school in July the job will be based in Kent. They also have a room in London for a live in role. They would like the nanny to come to Sicily with them on the 29 July to 13 aug. The position is mostly sole charge. Duties: school runs and in charge of the children (all at full time school), help with homework, also errands, housework and cooking.. Some babysitting but not that much. You must be flexible, have good English and drive (automatic car). You will get your own barn conversion next to the house with own bedroom, kitchen, sitting room, attic bedroom, bathroom etc. Mon til Fri 7-7 approx but with some flexibility. During school holidays you need to be with the children more than during term time. You must be very energetic, outdoorsy, fun and easy going. You must be able to take your own initiative, sort out play dates, go see the children’s friends and take them to various activities etc. You’ll get a car that you can use for you and the children but also for you. We placed their last nanny who stayed long term and was very happy here and highly recommends the family.

Room Supervisor – Toddlers Room


Room Leader – Notting Hill

We require an experienced and professional Room Leader to join this well established private day nursery just a short walk from Notting Hill Tube.

You must be able to demonstrate a through understanding of the EYFS Framework and have some supervisory experience as well as at least 2 years experience after qualification.

Your Key Responsibilities may include -

Act as Room Leader and to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.

  • Ensure your staff team provide high standards of care for the children.
  • Lead planning for the EYFS curriculum and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure that your staff team are always aware of each child’s individual needs and that all children are kept safe and that the staff understand, and follow Child Protection Procedures.
  • Support the staff and supervise the staff with their day to day duties.
  • Be responsible for participating in all self-development activities including appraisals and supervisions.
  • Meet with the manager on a regular basis and report on individual children and staff
  • Meet with parents
  • Interview new staff with the manager

Live-in Nanny, Kensington

Experienced live-in Nanny required in Kensington for care of B’s 13 and 6 months. The position is shared charge to start with and will then be sole charge when the mum returns to work in May. The older child is at school during the day so you will primarily be caring for the baby; taking to baby classes etc and carrying out nursery duties including cooking for both children. The family are looking for a mature and private person-driver not required. There will be some travel on family holidays. Bedroom and bathroom accommodation. Mon-Fri, 12 hours per day. There will be some occasional Saturday mornings needed which will be paid extra. Salary £350 net per week. Starts March.
