BESD TA job in Exeter
Hays Education are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants for day-to-day and long-term placement in dedicated BESD settings in Exeter & Torbay. You should have recent knowledge of supporting students with challenging behaviour and / or emotional and social difficulties. You should be able to empathise and support these students helping them to engage in various cross-curricular subject activities to achieve the best level of education for their ability.
A thorough understanding of the current national curriculum is essential as are strong numeracy and literacy skills.
Skills and qualifications required:
NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in childcare development or teaching assistant
Excellent written and verbal communication
Manual handling/restraint training and awareness
Recent experience of working in childcare or education
