Hays Education are currently recruiting for an Art teacher on behalf of a secondary school in Hull. The position is a long-term temporary position starting as soon as possible and continuing until July 2010. The role for Art Teacher could become a permanent opportunity for the correct candidate in September 2010.
This Hull school are looking for a qualified and experienced teacher of Art and Design who shows a genuine passion and flair for their chosen subject. The school has around 1200 pupils and caters for students aged between 11 – 16 and has gained a number of awards in recent years including Investors in People, Healthy Schools Award and Artsmark Silver.
The school is due to close in 2015 as part of the Building Schools for the Future program.
The school aims to contest the way in which other education establishments are run and endeavours to provide an inspirational an inclusive environment in which every learner can thrive.
Key Skills/Experience Required:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience teaching Art to KS5 in the last 2 years
- A proven passion and flair for Art and Design
- A willingness to become involved with wider school life including extra–curricular activities
- A willingness to support the schools ethos and behaviour management policies fully.
- Strong Classroom management
