Slovak Speaking Specialist Teaching Assistant: Job Details
Hays Education currently have Learning Support opportunities supporting students with EAL. The schools are in the Medway and Dartford areas of Kent. We are looking for Teaching Assistants / Learning Support who are experienced in supporting Slovak speaking children and who are of a confident and positive nature.
Our Kent offices, based in Maidstone and Canterbury are dedicated to servicing schools for teaching assistants in the Kent area and over the last year we have successfully worked with a number of schools in Ashford and Kent to secure a high number of interesting and challenging teaching assistant jobs.
We are looking to recruit a highly skilled, qualified, hardworking and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/ Learning Mentors for this position. Both Primary or Secondary experience is essential as well as a good understanding of one to one support.

The skills we look for in our Learning Support include:
- Qualified Teaching assistant Status either NVQ, Btec or similar
- 4 Months experience of teaching assistant work in the last 2 years is essential
- Experience of supporting Slovak speaking pupils of all key stages
. Learning & Behaviour experience/ qualification
- Strong classroom management skills
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Willingness to promote learning
- Innovative and resourceful teaching assistant methods
- Own transport is preferable but public transport is no bar to work
