Fantastic Early Years Opportunity
This newly established Children Centre within the B29 area is looking to recruit a new playgroup assistant to join their growing team. This is an ongoing position to start immediately and it will be a fantastic opportunity for career development and further training. The successful candidates must be dedicated and enthusiastic team players who are competent, intuitive with a genuine enthusiasm for working with children.
The successful candidate will be expected to work between 2.45pm to 6pm, 5 days a week, have an enhanced CRB and provide 2 relevant working references. Ideally the candidate will have a Level 2 in childcare.
Role :
- Assist in the provision of a variety of appropriate play opportunities for children and young people some of whom may require special attention and/or will have come from various racial, cultural and religious backgrounds.
- Lead groups of children in specific sport, game craft and learning activities. Manage behaviours and adapt the activity to meet the needs of groups or individuals. Prepares for activities.
- Evaluate events and activities and contribute to the development of the service including making recommendations for change and development of the activities.
- Supervise children to ensure safe use of equipment and facility without endangering themselves or other users. Candidate :
