A native British governess is required for a family living in a suburb just outside Moscow. This is a full-time live-in position. You will be offered a competitive salary negotiable at the time of the interview, a comfortable accommodation and opportunities to travel with the family. Your duties will involve teaching English to a charming 4-year-old girl who loves drawing and has a lively and active character. She doesn’t speak English yet and as she hasn’t had an English governess before. The child is in kindergarten at the moment so you will have some free time during the day. The girl will be entering an English school in a couple of years that is why your solid teaching experience is essential to this position.
Responsibilities
- Developing the child’s English language skills, learn through play
- Preparing the child for entry into an English school
- Planning and carrying out language-oriented indoor and outdoor activities
- Simple caring duties on occasion (cooking, putting the girl to sleep)
- Governess duties – check the table manners, ensure that the girl is following her daily routine, that she is neatly dressed, washes her hands etc.
Conditions
- Salary negotiable from 850 GBP p/w
- Working 5 days a week, 10 hours a day (the young lady will be at the kindergarten from 9 to 13)
- 2 days off during the week (not weekends)
- Comfortable accommodation is provided in the form of a separate room in a guest house within the grounds of the family estate
- Paid holiday 4 weeks a year
- Transport and visa expenses are covered by the family
Requirements
- Active, outgoing, positively sociable British female aged 28 – 45
- Start in September
- Previous childcare experience and teaching qualifications are preferred
- You should be familiar with the English educational system to help the child enter an English school
- Interviews will take place as soon possible
