A primary Special Needs schools in Camden is looking to recruit a Primary special needs teacher for a long term contract, to start after May half term with the possibility to carry on for the September term. The school is a small Primary special needs school with a small special needs nursery which is located in a separate building away from the main school.
The school and nursery are conveniently located in the vibrant borough of Camden and just a 5 minutes walk from Camden Town tube station on the Northern line.
The children present with Autism (ASD),Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and some medical needs. The classes are split according to age, generally 5 to 6 students in one class. All classes are equipped with the latest special needs teaching resources including interactive white board’s sensory resources with permanent support staff, who know the children and their needs.
The school has a new soft play room, sensory room and a have plans for a hydro pool to be built next academic year.
The School seeks an experienced member of staff who has a good understanding of the specific needs of the children and good working knowledge of the national curriculum. UK experience is a vital.
