Room Leader / Third In Charge

An experienced Room Leader is required within the baby unit of a warm and welcoming Nursery. You will become part of a committed and extremely caring team, who pride themselves on providing high quality childcare and education.

This Room Leader position will require you to act in the capacity of Third in Charge- supporting the Deputy and Manager and taking on extra responsibilities in their absence. This Third In Charge position will see you in the trusted position of key holder and parent contact, as well as being a point of contact for all staff within the setting.

You must have experience of leading a staff team and dealing with a variety of parent queries, as well as an understanding of how to get the best from your team, as well as always providing a great example for other staff to follow.

Some of your responsibilities as a Room leader will include:

To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
To lead your team in order for them to plan, prepare and review the curriculum as a team reflective of the EYFS
To work in partnership with the parents
To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
To lead the team in your room, providing day to day guidance for your staff where needed
