Nanny in Hong Kong
Mandarin speaking nanny required for a family with three children aged: G-
51 2 years old, G- 31 2 years old and B 2 years old. The position is 5 days a week, live-out (unless nanny prefers to live-in) and also shared care.
Working hours: 8am to 7:30pm but with some free time during the day (naps). Duties: principle focus is on 2 year old boy: getting dressed and ready for school, take him to and from school, and staying/engaging during school, take him to different activities, actively playing/engaging with child, feed him meals, give baths and read stories at bed time in the evenings and nap time. Keep the child¹s room/playroom tidy after playing there. Minimal need to wash children¹s clothes (except perhaps while traveling). No cooking required. There are Filipino helpers in the HK home to cook and do heavy cleaning/laundry. When not with the 2 year old boy, engage the older girls in Mandarin speaking and play. At mealtimes/when playing all together, encourage acquisition/use of Mandarin by all children (and mom!) Non driver is ok as family already has a driver Mon to Sat to drive nanny and the children around. Swimming it¹s a must. – there is an un-fenced pool in home. The family travels a lot so a sense of adventure and excitement to see Asia is also a plus, as travel accompaniment is required. Must speak excellent/native Mandarin. Days off:
Friday/Saturday or 2 weekdays while living in HK. Two months of each summer to be spent in NY/Hamptons. NOTE: family is expecting a fourth child in October and will have maternity nurse for first few months.
