Nursery Deputy Manager, Bristol
A Bristol based pre-school are looking for a deputy manager to support the manager and also aid with the day to day running of the setting. You will be accountable for supporting and guiding of secure relationships with children, parents and outside agencies. You will help develop and ensure the implementation of high quality learning and play programme which embraces the principles of the EYFS to foster the growth, happiness and development of every child.
You will also be required to help and support staff in the development of and maintenance of appropriate planning, observation and assessment procedures to ensure a consistent implementation of the EYFS. To achieve this, you will be expected to implement action plans and also use these to address areas for improvement.
Your daily duties will include:
Providing feedback to the Manager on issues relating to the working day and to cover for the Manager when appropriate and directed.
To supervise in the daily domestic management of the pre-school.
Appropriately manage staff sickness, holidays and maternity leave to ensure sufficient staff are available at all times.
Ensure that EYFS staffing requirements are met.
You will require a passion for your work with the Early Years, a good understanding of the EYFS curriculum and a desire to achieve within your childcare career.
To be considered for this Deputy Nursery Manager job in Bristol, you must:
- Hold a Degree in Early Childhood Studies or equivalent
- Be comfortable to take the role of Curriculum Lead
- Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
- Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of managing staff rotas
- Strong people management skills
