Temp nanny required between the 16th of Feb and the 30th of March 2011 for a family with two lovely and well behaved children aged G-5 and B-8.(Our director knows this family personally) The role is to look after the children as a live in position whilst their nanny is away (Monday to Friday) with 3 nights babysitting which usually works out as Monday’s, Wednesdays and Fridays (this is flexible depending on what the parents/ nanny’s plans are) but they do ask for either a Friday or a Saturday night of babysitting. Working hours are generally 7.15am (to be downstairs) to when the kids go to bed around 7.30pm. The nanny walks the little girl to school leaving around 8.10 and the boy goes on a school run. However the kids are in school from 9 to 3.15 (the boy is home later) so the nanny has flexibility during the day as long as all the tidying or organizing is done i.e. stuff on the list and most importantly all the families washing and ironing is done and put away. The nanny will work closely together with the mum on organizing the kids, but the nanny sole charge when mum is not around and to make sure that things like homework is done and completed properly. The kids seem to respond best to a big sister approach where there are clear boundaries and the nanny is in charge but where they are very much friends. The nanny will have sole charge organizing homework, supper etc until the mum get home. The nanny must speak fluent English and be fairly sophisticated.
