Nursery Nurses Required for Lambeth and Surrounding Areas
Our client early years centres in Lambeth are looking to develop a bank of nursery nurses to take on roles on a day-to-day and short-term basis. There are also opportunities for long-term positions for the right candidates.
Most of the early years centres you will be working in as a nursery nurse offer full day care for children aged from 0 to 5 years and are open all year except for Bank holidays and a 2 week break at Christmas. The general opening hours for most of our client nurseries are 7.30am to 6.30pm each weekday.
As a nursery nurse you will work alongside other committed early years professionals to provide a happy and secure environment in which each child can develop at his or her own pace. You will help guide children towards the early learning goals as defined in the National Curriculum within a caring atmosphere where a child can learn through play and have freedom of choice of activities. You will also be expected to change nappies.
The successful candidate needs to be lively and full of bright ideas to encourage learning and achieve results. You will need to be keen to develop the children’s personal skills and support them with a range of high quality resources.
The pay rates are negotiable depending on experience.
Please note the following requirements prior to applying for this position:
- You must be a qualified Nursery Nurse (NVQ 3/NNEB or equivalent)
- You must have good spoken and written English
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- You must have a minimum of 6 months experience working in a nursery setting
- Your CV must cover your employment history accurately and any employment breaks must be explained
- You need to supply two years of references of which at least one must be from a education setting
- You must be available to work 5 days per week between the hours of 7:30 – 6:30 pm
- This position is subject to an Enhanced CRB disclosure and overseas police checks
