SEN Teaching Assistant Required Immediately for Hull Primary School!

My client is a medium-sized Primary school located in the East of Hull. They are looking to recruit for an SEN Teaching Assistant to work one to one with a statemented child. The position is for 30 hours per week and applicants must be available to start immediately after the Easter break.

The Primary school serves a large housing estate on the Eastern side of the city and received a grading of ‘Good’ in their latest Ofsted inspection.

The child has extreme behaviour difficulties and as a result the successful candidate must have a relevant qualification or training in Restraint Handling or Team Teach.
The pupil splits his time between the Primary school and a local Pupil Referral Unit and so applicants must be willing to accompany him as and when required.

Recent experience of working in a supportive one to one capacity is essential and access to transport is desirable, although no bar to work. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic and reliable with a good attitude to work. SEN experience is essential for this role and applicants must hold a Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Teaching Assistant as a minimum.

Applicants must be available for interview at the school during the week commencing 12th April 2010 and must hold a valid Enhanced CRB Disclosure.
